Zac Lucas is a private client partner with London-based international law firm Spencer West. Zac is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer heading the International Private Wealth practice for Singapore-based Gateway Law Corporation, which is an alliance partner of Spencer West.

Zac has more than 20 years post qualification experience advising on all areas of international private client law, including trusts, estates and succession planning, with particular emphasis on business family succession planning and international financial crime and regulatory law.
​
Zac has particular expertise in advising business families on governance and succession planning and regularly acts as principal drafting and coordinating counsel for complex business family governance projects.
Zac also advises on the creation of international family offices, working closely with prominent multi-family offices, private banks and trust companies to provide bespoke family office trust solutions.
Zac also has extensive experience advising in relation to various international regulations, including the OECD Common Reporting Standard, OECD Mandatory Disclosure Rules, OECD BEPS Action 5 and various international beneficial ownership transparency and registration initiatives, including the EU DAC6 and AMLD5 as they apply to international private wealth structures.
Zac lectures extensively in Asia, the Gulf and Europe and has created his own very popular legal media channel and podcast - Wealth Talks with Zac Lucas.

Zac has also assisted various public bodies in relation to the practical implementation of various international transparency laws and co-drafted amendments to the trust laws of the British Virgin Islands, including the Virgin Islands Special Trusts Act (VISTA).
